Your account
Signing in, the computers linked to your account, API keys, and where to manage them.
Nib uses one account for the desktop app, the web app and the cloud features: sync, crew, Nib models and
billing. Cloud sandboxes are coming soon. You manage it on the web at Account (app.nib.gg/account).
Signing in
You can sign in with:
- email and password;
- a one-time code or link sent to your email (coming soon);
- GitHub or Apple.
The desktop app signs you in through your browser, so your password never passes through the app. In the
terminal, nib login signs in through your browser too; signing in with a link and code from an email
(nib login --email) is coming soon.
Profile & security lists every place you're signed in, with the browser or app and when each session was last used. You can sign out of one session, or out of all the others at once. When you change your password, you can sign out every other session at the same time.
Computers
Each computer that syncs with your account appears under Account → Computers, with whether it's online. Disconnecting a computer stops it syncing straight away and revokes the Nib model keys it was using.
The Free plan syncs 2 computers. Paid plans have no limit.
API keys
API keys let scripts and CI use the Nib cloud API without your password. Create them under Account → API keys. You choose:
| Scope | Lets the key |
|---|---|
read | read sessions, usage and settings |
sync | sync sessions and link computers |
gateway | call Nib models through the gateway |
admin | manage API keys and organization settings |
A key is shown once, when you create it. Store it in a secret manager. You can give a key an expiry date
and revoke it at any time. For CI, nib setup-token registers a device token instead.
Keys, computers and sign-ins are recorded in your organization's activity log (see Organizations).
GitHub Action
Mention Nib on an issue or pull request, or run a prompt on a schedule, and it works on a branch, reports progress in a comment, and opens or updates a pull request.
Organizations
Members and roles, the Primary Owner, invitations and invite links, seats, signing someone out, requests for more usage, the team's activity, the organization's policy, the activity log, and exporting the organization's records.
